Greetings!
Allow me to briefly introduce myself and my artwork, my name is Pablo Moises Navarro Almeida Born and raised in Ciudad Juarez Mexico and El Paso Texas twin border cities. Son of regional recognized Artist, Tomas Navarro Arriola. I’m the youngest son of nine siblings that inherit his talents, due the hard and variable living condition of been artist in this region, none of my brothers and sisters decided to not persuaded the artistic career, been me the only one persuading the dream of become an artist. From my childhood thru my early adulthood I spend the majority of the time in Juarez, but due the political decay, economic hardship’s, and social turmoil’s, I decided to move on and start over a new life in El Paso Texas to find new opportunities and better living conditions. Few years ago when I resolved to move on, my life completely changed putting in the past, family, brothers, friends that were pillars and very important figures in my life. Science I decided to permanently move to El Paso until these days I’m still afraid to visit Juarez due the violence and social insecurity. I visit Juarez occasionally once a year or every six months specially the family that cannot cross to the American side due documentation issues. Nowadays, “Juarez a third world city” is all over the news regarding the inhuman violence, kidnappings, robs and the unreal, unpredictable living condition, a colossal contradiction with the tranquility of living in “El Paso a first world city” these opposite circumstances inspired me to construct my working ideas and intended expression. Since I decide to permanently moved to the U.S, I get Married, became a proudly parent, went to college, and traveled, nowadays my life, my hart, and my love is divided between these two contradictory worlds.
My father was a resilient and dominant figure that strongly influenced my life style and artwork. In my artwork I always try to represent and portray the unique manifestations, and perception of the tough living conditions of the desert, represented by the contradictory social conditions and perils of this region. Painting has been part of my whole life but due the limited economy of this region where minimum wage and unemployment and lack of culture, part of the everyday reality, the lack of interest from few collectors and can-buyers make extremely hard to promote and sustain the artistic life-force. Throughout my life experiences and my years as art student I crossed my path with great talented artist. Great artistes from this region with a huge unique characteristic, but again the perils to survive and have a decent job, deteriorate the illusion to dream about producing art. I can tell that I found the way to manage my education, my artistic career, and my passion for art, working between jobs and working as a part-time freelance artist. Thanks to this I have been allow me to produce numerous private and public art pieces, For this main reason I daring you to write this letter as an effort to awake your interest in my art works with the great expectation to open the possibility to start doing business with you.
